Just one single day after laying off 3,800 district employees, and together with the school reform commission, demanding that the teachers re-open the contracts signed a year and a half ago and take another hit to cover the administration’s financial oopsies, schools superintendent Arlene “Queen Arlene” Ackerman gets caught on an open mic whining that she wants her lifetime job back.
With no due respect, FUCK YOU. You just shitcanned 3,800 people and you think you’re entitled to a lifetime appointment? Eat a fucking dick. You and the reform commission presided over an exploding, and preventible, deficit, as PFT union leader Jordan points out:
When Arlene Ackerman arrived in 2008, the country was already in the most severe recession in the nation’s history. The Democratic governor was in the last years of his second term. During the course of negotiations, President Obama was elected, the federal stimulus money was approved and everyone knew it would stop flowing on June 30, 2011.
Prudent leaders would’ve begun paring expenses then and would’ve followed guidance by the state advising school districts not to use stimulus funds to pay operating expenses. Prudent leaders would not have doled out millions to private contractors, opened additional, costly charter schools or spent recklessly on programs with no record of success.
The current administration took a $73 million financial hole dug by the previous administration, grabbed its shovels and happily increased it ninefold. It created a giant financial mess – none of which has anything to do with the PFT-school district contract – and now it wants us to backfill the hole from our pockets.
Isn’t it ironic? The very people appointed by the state to put the financial and academic affairs of the district in order are responsible for the biggest deficit in the district’s history.
You stood by idly while Asian students were subjected to race-based attacks in South Philly, except when you tried to scapegoat on of the victims. You suspended whistelblowers, who shed light on shady no-bid contracts. You tried to bully into submission a teacher who fought back against your charter school plans. Oh, and you were run out of San Francisco on a rail.
You’ve used students and parents as pawns, you’ve embarrassed the city, your a polarizing hateful figure, and you believe in failed “Race to the Top” theories that have been exposed as fraudulent. And now, after dumping nearly 4,000 employees on the street, you want your “lifetime job” back”? I guess we can add “insensitive fucking bitch” to the list.
You want your old job back? Good. Go. Leave. Arlene, YOU FUCKING SUCK MORE ASS THAN A TAPEWORM. And frankly, a tapeworm would probably do a more competent job of running our schools.
