Sites I Visit
My daily clearinghouse for what’s going on in the world continues to be Atrios.
For a passionate working class perspective, it’s always Susie Madrak. I often visit her site before atrios, as a matter of fact. I don’t agree with her on everything, but she has a pretty good record of being right.
For minute analysis, unvarnished opinion, and perspectives on civil liberties and executive power, there is no one finer than Glenn Greenwald.
If you read Florida Oil Spill Law, which chronicles the aftermath of the BP oil disaster, you will never eat seafood again. EVER.
It would be difficult for me to enumerate all the reasons i love balloon-Juice: Cole’s snarkiness, the pet diaries, the great tags, the awesome arguments. It’s just fantastic.
Although their comments sometimes spiral into a two-minutes-hate session, Firedoglake highlights news and opinions you’re not going to get in many other places. they have also been consistently right on topics like the health insurance reforms, the Wall Street bailouts, and our Glorious Wars.
talking Points memo: the first blog i ever visited, and a daily read.
Recently infested with unquestioning Obamabots, daily kos is getting back to being a community they welcomes debate and criticism.
I try to read Paul Krugman’s blog every day. i believe atrios is responsible for me reading naked capitalism and susie turned me on to Felix Salmon.
For sheer comedy, it’s Booman Tribune, a treasure trove of “it’s the best we can do” and (when all else fails) “look at those awful republicans”.
