Pomade Review: Royal Crown
My usual pomade for big pomped up hair is Murray’s Superior.
It’s super-stiff, and almost hurts when I comb it through my hair. Murray’s is so strong that when I apply it on Sunday, I can wash my hair Monday morning and still have enough leftover for a respectable pompadour.
This weekend while shopping for a refill of my Murray’s I came upon a can of Royal Crown:
It’s a much lighter pomade (and looks disturbingly like semen) that glides through the hair easily. It’s not strong enough to prop up a pompadour, but the shine is excellent. So if you’re going for the Don Draper look…
…Royal Crown is the pomade for you. And yes, it’s in my hair right now.
