A senior White House official just called me with a very pointed message for the administration’s sometime allies in organized labor, who invested heavily in beating Blanche Lincoln, Obama’s candidate, in Arkansas.
“Organized labor just flushed $10 million of their members’ money down the toilet on a pointless exercise,” the official said. “If even half that total had been well-targeted and applied in key House races across this country, that could have made a real difference in November.”
It’s true, halter had a VERY slim shot at defeating Blanche Lincoln.
On the other hand, Lincoln has almost no shot at beating her Republican opponent, John Boozman: in fact, you can see the buzzards circling her campaign. She’s down 51 percent to 34 percent.
So I’d like to know why the White House is sending Vice-President Biden out to flush money down the toilet supporting a losing horse, who just backed the GOP filibuster of the defense spending bill, including the repeal of Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell.
And these people call lefties like me “fucking retarded”? Maybe someone in the White House needs to be drug tested.
