BP “Grilled”
I’m not watching it, but apparently the House is “grilling” BP CEO Tony Hayward today.
You would think that with all the bile i hold for the disgraceful and disreputable Hayward and his pollution factory that I would be tuning in.
Problem is, I have seen this movie a few too many times. Each representative will take an opportunity to yell at Hayward, Hayward will make weasely excuses, and nothing will happen. It’s theatre, designed to make it look like our “leaders” are in control. but we all know that not only are they NOT in control, many of them (including the President) are up to their eyeballs in oil money. If it’s not BP’s money, it’s Exxon’s money.
It’s a show. It doesn’t mean anything other than a nice campaign ad for some douchebag in November showing how he or she “stood up to Big Oil”.
You motherfuckers wanna talk and talk, I think you should do that on your own time. If you want to be helpful, head on down to Louisiana, put on a hazmat suit and grab a shovel, because talking isn’t going to clean up BP’s mess.
