Credit Where Credit is Due: A Brief Update on Ann Althouse
Even though I’m having a lot of fun at the conservatives’ expense with the last two posts about photos of me gargling teabags (richly deserved fun, I might add), I do want to give credit where credit is due, and Ann deserves some credit.
With some trepidation, I emailed Ms. Althouse about the photo at her site, explaining that TNR had neither asked my brother’s permission to use it, nor paid him for the piece. I asked if she could send the email alert TNR had sent out which also featured the stolen photo. I honestly wasn’t expecting a response (for what I think are obvious reasons), but not only did she forward me a copy of the email, she offered to credit my brother and offer an explanation about the picture on her own site.
I happen to think that’s very nice of her, and I’m grateful Ann Althouse did so, even if our politics are pretty much polar opposites.
