Who Coulda Predicted Joe Lieberman would Stab the Democrats in the Back? Oh, That’s Right: I Did.

HAHAHA! This is RICH:

Politico: Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said Tuesday that he’d back a GOP filibuster of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s health care reform bill.

Lieberman, who caucuses with Democrats and is positioning himself as a fiscal hawk on the issue, said he opposes any health care bill that includes a government-run insurance program — even if it includes a provision allowing states to opt out of the program, as Reid’s has said the Senate bill will.

HAHAHAHA! Oh, who could have predicted this? Oh tell me who, and it better rhyme with BENDIN’ SUCKIN’ CHOIR, because I predicted this!

I am smarter than Bob Casey:

For Obama’s closest allies, Lieberman’s sin was not his support for McCain, but his speaking so emphatically against Obama, especially on foreign policy. “I was as frustrated and angry as anyone else,” said Sen. Robert P. Casey Jr. (Pa.), a centrist who voted for Lieberman to retain his homeland security post.

…and the rest of the Democratic Party:

Lieberman surrendered his position on the Environment and Public Works Committee, leaving the panel and his subcommittee chairmanship. But he will remain chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and head of the Armed Services subcommittee that oversees air and land power issues.

“This was done in a spirit of reconciliation,” Lieberman told reporters after the meeting.

The Democratic caucus voted 42 to 13 to accept a deal negotiated by Sens. Christopher J. Dodd (Conn.), Ken Salazar (Colo.), Thomas R. Carper (Del.) and Bill Nelson (Fla.).

I am especially smarter than Harry Reid:

Harry Reid was on The Daily Show last night (to promote his book, ironically entitled The Good Fight) and said that Joe Lieberman “supports us on virtually everything except the war.” This is exactly what Reid has said repeatedly about Lieberman (”Joe Lieberman is my friend, and he is a good Democrat, votes with us on everything, except the war. So Joe Lieberman is easy to work with”).

In fact, as recently as last week, I was calling out Lieberman’s faithlessness, pointing out that he’s not “with us” on a whole host of issues:

His punishment after Obama and the Democrats stomped all over McCain and the GOP? Less than nothing. The Democrats, including Obama and our own Sen. Bob Casey, voted to let Lieberman keep his committee chairmanship. “He’s with us on everything except the war” has been the refrain since 2007. Except he’s also been with the GOP on approving waterboarding, weakening habeas corpus, blocking suits against phone companies that illegally tapped our phones on Bush’s say-so and God knows how much more.

I said it in March of this year as well.

Oh, did I say March? I mean November. As a matter of fact, twice.

Repeatedly. Again and Again:

The democrats are intent on playing the sucker again. As always, Harry Reid’s cowardice is manifest: there is no fight that the former boxer won’t back down from. Even Bill Clinton, who should know better, is getting in on the “Save Joe’s Bacon” game.

I’m not going to into all of the reasons Joe Lieberman has to go, but I will say this: if Lieberman embarrasses or hobbles the Obama administration because the Democrats allowed him to stay in a position of power, they will have no one but themselves to blame. I will call every single person who enabled him and point out that, once again, I was right and they were wrong.,

I am getting really tired of being right all the time, but you watch what happens. Just like the bankruptcy bill, the war, the bailout and just about every other stupid thing the democrats went along with for the sake of comity, I will be right, the democrats will be wrong, and the country (and party) will suffer.

I sure wish my Democratic senator was as smart as Bernie Sanders and Pat Leahy. Instead, I’m stuck with a guy who got elected based on his dad’s last name, who’s not only pro-life and wants people to tote guns around downtown Philadelphia’s national parks, but voted to keep Joe Lieberman, disaster-in-waiting, as a member in good standing of the Democratic caucus. Needless to say, no one in Bobbles’ office would talk to me, nor will they return my request for comment. That’s because being a Senator means living an accountability-free life. in fact, watch Lieberman lie about his support for health care refornm back in 2006:

And all I have to say is “I TOLD YOU SO. I TOLD YOU SO. I TOLD YOU SO.”

Fucking idiots. Now I almost hope Lieberman is successful at sustaining a filibuster (he won’t be), just because it will prove how fucking stupid the Democrats are, and how their lack of balls leads to epic failures.

I am as disgusted as i am amused by this. And time for the calls to begin!
