Health Care Speech
I had a gig tonight so I didn’t get to watch too much of the speech. But some brief thoughts:
Joe Wilson is a disrespectful asshole and I say this as someone who doesn’t think all that much of Obama these days.
I like the strong language on the public option, but I didn’t think it was strong enough. It seemed the door to bogus “triggers” is still open.
I enjoyed how shamed and uncomfortable the GOP looked. I missed the part about Bush’s wars and irresponsible tax cuts, so I’ll have to check that out tomorrow.
Finally, I did not like the left being equated with the right. At all.
