If You Live in Philly, call Fattah and Brady NOW
jane hamsher reports we are a few votes from killing the war supplemental in the House. if you live in Philly, call Chaka Fattah NOW and tell him to vote NO. 202-225-4001. Call Bob Brady as well: (202) 225-4731 and tell him to vote NO.
Not only were we promised no more funny business with off-budget supplementals paying to extend the war (a war the Democrats promised to end, including Fattah specifically), there is a hundred billion dollar loan to the IMF embedded in the bill that will be used to bail out European banks.
Fattah signed a letter written by Maxine Waters sayign “no” to the IMF funding, and is leanign no on the supplemental. he needs pressure to commit to his NO vote. Brady on the other hand supports the supplemental, although he has signed the IMF letter as well.
Jane asks an important question, one which i hope you’ll convey to Brady and Fattah: Should Your Tax Dollars Buy Health Care or European Banks’ Toxic Assets?
I know what I want, and it sure as hell ain’t a share in some foreign banks shitty investments. CALL NOW. Tell Fattah and Brady to vote NO.
