Sam Photos from May

Sam came down last Saturday for a quick one-week visit. We had some good times, including a trip to the Please Touch Museum, Sam’s first taste of water ice (pronounced “wooder ice” if you’re from Philly), and visits with Elliott, Franklin and Oscar (Scott, next time we’ll plan better so we get a Charlie and Marshall visit in too). My brother Rayis a much better photographer than me, and got some real keepers. Shots are below.

Ray took this one. Sam and his cousin Elliott spend a lot of time together during visits, and Elliott loves the hell out of his cousin, as you can see in his big goofy grin. The boys are very dissimilar physically: Elliott’s much stockier than Sam, a little linebacker in the making. Sam is the skinnier of the two, and a bit quicker as well. Great shot.

Another from Ray, confirming that Sam’s mom and I have to start shopping our kid around to advertising agencies. I don’t want to get him caught up in TV ads or anything (that’s a LOT of work), but he’d be great in print pieces.

I took this one at the Please Touch Museum, which has been thoroughly overhauled in its new location in Fairmount Park. It’s REALLY worth visiting if you have kids.

The PTM also has a wonderful fully refurbished historic carousel that used to run in the now-demolished Woodside Park, owned and operated by the Philadelphia Transport Corporation.

Sam with Franklin (in red) and Oscar (in white) outside the Please Touch Museum. I think they look like the Beastie Boys.

It occurs to me that I need a papparazzi to follow me around, because I never get shots of Sam and me together. Here we are eating wooder ice (even if you can’t see me):

Ray has more photos forthcoming, I’ll post them as I get them…

tell me about it!! It was a lot of work to get that shot of you and Sam at your house a few years ago (without you knowing about it).
