How to Have Fun at Daily Kos
1. Wait til someone posts a diary criticizing Obama.
2. Watch Obama-bots pour in.
3. Agree with criticism.
4. Watch Obama-bots hide all criticism of Dear Leader.
I do this on a semi-regular basis at great orange satan, the same way i enjoy concern trolling conservative blogs. It’s hilarious, in a sad “laughing at you not with you” kind of way, but some of the people at daily kos are no better than the hive-mind slack-jaw mouth-breathers you see at Free Republic and other wingnut sites. They actually believe that if you delete someone’s comment, that the comment never occurred and nothing threatens the success of the president. This is Orwellian at best, smacking of Winston Smith and the Memory Hole, and self-defeating as well. Democrats and progressives are supposed to be critical thinkers, open to debate and argument. Hiding comments you don’t agree with is the same thing as sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling “lalalalalalala I CAN’T HEAR YOU” when someone tells you something unpleasant.
Seeing the hive mentality at Daily Kos only emboldens me to go over a stir the pot even more, to rile up some bona fide left wing dingalings.
