Have the Republicans Turned into an Onion Article?
Joe the Plumber is at it again, and I am more confused than before.
Look, i’m not a complete dope: I understand that politicians make mountains out of molehills all the time, and bring out guests at important events that serve to illustrate whatever point the politicians is trying to make. Barack Obama did it with that young woman from South carolina at his speech a few weeks ago, and John McCain did it during the campaign with Joe the Plumber.
Except that, while Ty’Sheoma Bethea really IS a teenager from an impoverished school, Joe the Plumber isn’t a plumber and his name isn’t Joe. Yet this guy has made quite the cottage industry of pretending to be something he’s not, and the conservatives LOVE him for it. it makes NO SENSE AT ALL.
Here he is at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) selling books:

note: Not a plumber, not really a writer, just a campaign prop who hasn’t gotten the memo.
Here he is in Gaza, where a bunch of conservatives pretending to be a media source sent him to pretend to be a reporter.

Note to Cleveland.com Joe the Plumber did NOT “set aside his wrenches to become a rookie war correspondent”, because he’s not a fucking plumber. As for your claim that he’s “America’s most famous plumber”? NOT TRUE. WHY ARE YOU PRETENDING HE’S A PLUMBER??
Seriously. The guy has even less credibility than ME. What the fuck do i have to do to get a gig like Sam Wurzelbacher’s got? I wanna go on teevee and get paid the big bucks too! it can’t really be as simple as pretending to be a plumber, can it?
