Too Much to Write on a Snowy Day
Like a lot of writers, I go through periods in which I either have nothing to say or simply don’t have the motivation to write anything. That’s a shame, because I either find myself neglecting to make a point about a given topic in a timely manner or I find myself with an enormous backlog, which is the situation I’m in today.
Luckily, it’s a snow day, and I plan to do a bunch of catch up, but there is literally so much to do, and on two different computers no less. All of my pictures of Sam’s latest visit are on Christina’s laptop, and I left my flash drive at the office. There are dozens of pictures to go through, to scale, and to post. It’s easily an hour or two of work.
Then there’s a story about some old friends I want to post.
And then theres the ongoing saga with the libraries, and the upcoming forums which I am beginning to worry may be nothing but a head-fake, the appearance of democracy when none really exists.
Finally, we have the governor’s idea to use video poker to cut college tuition rates.
There’s a lot to do, and some leftover lamb stew in the oven. I wonder if I can pull this off?
