That’s really essentially it in a nutshell. And I’m sorry if thaty kind of language hurts someone’s widdle feewings, but that’s exactly what barack obama is saying to gay people and quite frankly to anyone who’s in a domestic partnership, including straight people: Fuck You.
Is rewarding bigotry change we can believe in? That’s not what you said on the campaign trail, Mr. Obama.

President-elect Obama chose eliminationist hate preacher Rick Warren to give the invocation at Obama’s Inaguration. With this choice, Obama sends three destructive messages. Number one: In Obama’s America, equal rights and reproductive freedom aren’t for everyone. Number two: President-elect Obama likes sharing the national stage with hate. Number three: While Obama enjoys his equality before the law, LGBT Americans can go to Hell. Literally. Gee. Is this change we can believe in? Does Obama’s America include GLBT’s, along with the fundamentalists who want to take away their rights?
So fuck you duderino. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. Your preacher buddy Rick Warren went to uganda, where they actually kill people for being gay, where he said:
homosexuality is not a natural way of life and thus not a human right. “We shall not tolerate this aspect at all,” Dr Warren said.
So much for tolerance, eh Barack? I’m beginning to realize your Donnie McClurkin stunt was actually a lot more sinister than I thought at the time: Aravosis has more. Actually a lot more.
You sir, are a hypocrite of the highest order. I call on you to remove Rick “abortions are the same as the Holocaust” “gay people are pedophiles” Warren from the Inauguration.
Gay rights are human rights so far as I’m concerned: people like Rick Warren go after gay people first because it’s an easy target. But after they come for the deadly gays with their deadly gay rays that give everyone deadly gay they come for the straights too: these same dingalings are just as eager to overturn Griswold versus Connecticut (the court decisions that legalized birth control) as they are to overturn Roe.
Obama, of all people, should not be elevating this clown on the national stage. Rewarding bigotry? Fuck that, i say, fuck that. why not bring up David Duke while your at it? Or exhume and reanimate Jerry Falwell’s corpse to do a little dance across the stage and remind us that 9/11 was caused by the feminists, gays, and ACLU supporters.
But maybe my ERnglish isn’t so good: i guess I didn’t realize “change we can believe in” actually meant “fuck you.”
My parents are planning on going to the inauguration: I have the day off from work myself and was considering going along.

this is kind of quibbling, but do they kill homosexuals in uganda? i was in uganda in 1995 and actually had a discussion about gay people in a local village. the villager wasn’t very enlightened about gay issues. and he was genuinely surprised that anyone, much less an american, would be pro-gay rights. but in all his traditionalism and homophobia he never advocated killing gays. i just thought that uganda criminalizes homosexuality and raids gay bars like many countries do. much like the situation in the u.s. in the 1950s
anyway, this is quibbling. i’m going to DC on 1-20-09. but i’ll turn my back or something when warren speaks. or maybe i’ll skip that bit entirely. obama may not have meant this to be a “fuck you”, i think it’s more likely this was an attempt to throw a bone to evangelicals. but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come across as one. and he really should have known better than to do this. in any case, i’m hoping the backlash teaches obama not to take the left for granted like this. republicans spend all their time pandering to their radical rightwing fringe. democrats spend all their time shitting on their leftwingers. it’s good to hit back and show obama that this won’t fly. that’s change i can believe in.
