Dill Pickles, Friday 12/05/08, Dawson Street Pub.
I have a new band, the Dill Pickles, which you can hear at my myspace page. we’ve only been a band for about a week, but we’re subbing for my other band, Dawson Street Pub in Manayunk.
we got good so quickly because my buddy Nikolai Fox, fiddle player and documentarian extraodinaire, and i go back quite a few years. Playing old time music together again is like slipping into your favorite old pair of sneakers after a long winter of clodhoppers. if you’re in Philly, come out and see us: we’re committed to two hours worth of music, and haven’t even written up a second set.
