Retraction
A few days ago, I learned that my son has been climbing into bed with his mom and her fiancee, directly contrary to what she said I should be doing in my own home. As you might expect, I lost my temper a little bit about this, left her a soreheaded message, and blogged about the whole imbroglio.
It’s really not that wise to blog in anger: we’ve spoken since, and I learned that she had pretty much forgotten about the agreement over the course of the past few years. After all, Jose has gone from being her boyfriend to being her fiancee, and they all live together now. We agreed to liberalize the “climbing into bed” policy, and she apologized for not letting me know things had changed. She also said she understood why I was so angry about it.
So I’m issuing a retraction. I promised to take down the post, but I think i’m going to leave it up with a giant strikethrough as a reminder to myself about losing my temper.
Now, don’t get me started on my sister…

Sage words. Don’t blog angry, or grocery shop on an empty stomach.
