AMERICANS FACE FINANCIAL RUIN: MCKKKAIN CAMPAIGN SPEND $150K ON PALIN’S CLOTHES

While the rest of America is struggling to makes ends meet (some putting off the purchase of necessary prescription drugs), watching our retirement packages collapse, and losing their homes, the McKKKain campaign is spending $150,000 on Sarah Palin’s wardrobe (and her family’s wardrobe too!):

The Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.

According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74.

The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September.

Remember John Edwards’ $400 haircut? Sarah Palin’s clothing could buy 375 of those haircuts. Must be nice to have such pretty clothes, paid for by someone else, while the rest of the country is wondering how they’re gonna send the kids to college and what’s going to happen to Grandma when Grampa’s pension runs out. And it’s gotta be bad: even the GOP rank-and-file is disgusted, and they’ll stand for anything from child molestation to torture.

Given Palin’s inability to itemize the responsibilities of the office she aspires to, maybe the McKKKain campaign should have spent the money on remedial civics.
