DID SARAH PALIN TRY TO KILL HER UNBORN CHILD?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the sneering surrounding women’s health at the other night’s debate, as well as the continued dishonest and dishonorable effort to link Barack Obama to some imaginary “pro-abortion” movement. The fact is that the McKKKain campaign is projecting: if anyone can be accused of trying to kill an unborn baby, it’s McKKKain’s VP, Sarah Palin:

Just yesterday, Palin was in Texas at a forum on energy with Texas Gov. Rick Perry and executives from four other states.

The governor’s water broke during the energy conference but she stayed and gave a 30-minute speech before boarding an Alaska Airlines plane home to deliver the baby.

That’s a flight of nearly 7 hours, with a high risk pregnancy, and the baby literally imminent. Who in their right mind, after the water breaks, hops on a 7 hour flight instead of heading straight for the nearest hospital? Palin’s a state governor for crying out loud, and would have received excellent care, probably the best Texas had to offer.

Did Sarah Palin deliberately put her special-needs child at risk? I don’t know, but one thing I DO know: people who put their own political ambitions ahead of a special-needs baby have no business leading the country. We have had enough selfishness over the past 8 years to last us another 8 centuries.

If Sarah Palin’s ready to put the birth of her own child at risk, how much do you think she really cares about other people’s kids?

Some might say it’s tasteless to question Sarah Palin’s choices as a mother: after all, it’s her family and her baby. But Sarah Palin would deny every other family in America the most personal choice of all, the choice to have a baby or not, so her own choices are clearly fair game.

For that matter, who travels thousands of miles by plane days before her due date (for a high-risk pregnancy, etc.)? I’m pretty sure that commercial airlines don’t even allow you to fly in your 8th /9th month of pregnancy.
More evidence that the kid IS. NOT. HERS. It’s the daughter’s. That’s the only thing that explains it. She needed to be in Alaska (because that’s what the birth records would say, when her daughter gave birth to it) and she was at a conference in Austin where dozens of people (and the press ) had seen her.
