The Picture of Confidence

Ugh, what stinks? Is that his economic policy or his ass?
President Bush tried once again to reassure Americans’ faith in the shuddering economy, saying Saturday morning that industrial leaders gathered in Washington would do everything necessary to address the financial crisis.
“We will do what it takes to resolve this crisis, and the world’s economy will emerge stronger as a result,” Mr. Bush said in a Rose Garden address following a morning meeting with finance ministers from the Group of 7 nations.
Oh goody, my confidence is restored now. A visibly drunk president in an ill-fitting suit using the podium to prop himself as farts in the general direction of the G7. I’m feeling so confident, I may have to start drinking bourbon for breakfast.
