Shorter Christine Flowers: Obama is Black. Boogedy Boogedy.
Another steaming pile from Philadelphia’s own Wicked Witch of the West:
I’M WHITE, and I’m not voting for Barack Obama.
So what? Who cares who you vote for? And who cares what color you are either?
To some people, that makes me a racist. Doesn’t matter that I would never have voted for Hillary Clinton or John Edwards. The only thing that counts with the people who apparently count these things is that I’m a Caucasian turning my back on the junior senator from Illinois.
No, people think you’re a racist because your columns consistently make sweeping racial generalizations about black people.
Ever since the campaign entered its most frenetic stage, race has become the not-so-secret weapon of the Obama camp, allowing it to both promote the candidate as a historic step forward while at the same time attack his opponents with the bigot label. And the polls say that it seems to be working.
I’m pretty sure that’s the McKKKain campaign. Yup, pretty sure about that. Chants of “Kill him?” That’s not the Obama campaign, Christine. But don’t believe me, Christine: ask your fellow racist Bobby “Black black black black black black black black” May.
I’m not saying that Obama will win or lose because of the color of his skin. He probably won’t. But what Obama supporters have successfully done is skew the national discussion away from the issues and more toward a referendum on race.
It’s not Obama that’s calling his opponent “different from the rest of us” and leaving catcalls of “Kill him” unanswered. Obama’s consistently speaking about the issues.
The Obama campaign has made it harder to talk about the economy, national security, health care, etc., without dragging in the murky and volatile factor that corrupts every debate.
Since it’s long been established that you’re not an honest broker, explain yourself. I’ve watched all three debates (including the VP debate): provide some clips in which “the murky and volatile factor” of race emerges. You can’t because it doesn’t, except in your racist little brain. And that’s because, Christine, you are a racist and everyone in Philadelphia knows it, even other racists.
When John McCain supporters say, “Obama lacks experience,” Obama’s handlers say that’s code for “Do you really want an unprepared black man running the government?” When we criticize his intent to sit down with dictators “without preconditions,” they say it means “this black man doesn’t really have our country’s best interests at heart if he’s willing to talk to our enemies.” When Sarah Palin criticizes Obama for his ties to William Ayers by saying, “I’m afraid this is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist,” she’s slammed as a racist.
Actually, I always thought they meant he was young, naive, and inexperienced compared to McCain’s “age and wisdom” (good luck with that, by the way, after sending thousands to an early death in a misbegotten war that we can’t win). It’s people like you, Christine, who are obsessed with race. Have you read any of your columns lately? Like the one where you tried to incite a race riot? Or this one, where you go on and on about “a white cop has been shot” (emphasis yours) before issuing a blanket condemnation of black people in general?
If Colin Powell were on the Democratic ticket, McCain might lose half his base. It’s the candidate, not his color, that turns a lot of us off. Yes, there are bigots - of every color and ethnicity. But they’re not the majority by a long shot.
That’s a stretch there, Christine: maybe you’d be willing to vote for Colin Powell, who sat in front of the UN and claimed a test-tube full of jism was “evidence of the Iraqi’s robot planes and bio-labs that are comign to get us everybody run away”, but most real Democrats… how can I put this gently? We’re not as stupid as you are.
I doubt Obama condones these tactics. As he’s said on many occasions, he wanted to transcend race in this campaign. And as a man raised in large part by his white grandparents, I believe him.
But this race thing is bigger than whatever Obama intended. It’s taken on a life of its own.
This is a classic example of “if I repeat a lie enough times, maybe people will believe it.” In any event, see above: Bob May, Frank Keating, Sarah Palin, all of who like Christine “Kill ‘em all” Flowers are trying to start a lynch mob.
There have been many times during a conversation with an Obama supporter when I’ve seen a noticeable change in demeanor after they’ve realized they can’t change my vote. Incapable of believing that someone would vote for any Republican post-Bush, even one hated by many in his own party, they whip out that trusty race card.
Maybe it’s because they’ve read your columns and realize what a racist you are. Maybe it’s because they’re flabbergasted that “someone would vote for any Republican post-Bush”: you’re basically admitting to being one of those dead-ender 23-percenters, and those people make normals like me nervous.
Interestingly, we’re not allowed to acknowledge that the card has two faces. Every time some intrepid pundit mentions the fact that nine out of 10 blacks are voting for Obama, the reaction is swift and furious: Blacks are voting issues, not pigmentation.
Name some of those pundits please: unless you name names, how can anyone tell whether those “intrepid pundits” are respected voices and how many are lunatics like Sean Hannity?
I’m willing to believe that’s true, especially when you consider that blacks are overwhelmingly Democratic. They’ve been voting for that way ever since the GOP forgot it was the true architect of emancipation.
Extra, extra, read all about it! Blind Squirrel Finds Nut, extra extra!!
Democrats have long claimed (and often abused) the loyalty of African-Americans, so we would expect that a black Democratic candidate would garner the support of most black voters because they identify with his politics, not just his color.
How, then, to explain the fact that an overwhelming majority of blacks voted against Clinton in the primaries? The record of both candidates is virtually indistinguishable except for their position on the war (and Clinton came to mirror Obama on that score as well).
Well for starters, you might want to acknowledge that Clinton was originally the favorite among African Americans, and they were slow to move toward Obama because they thought he couldn’t win in our racists society, exemplified by people like YOU. It was only when Obama started crushing Clinton, and Clinton’s supporters (and Clinton herself) started trotting out ugly racist attacks in response, that the majority of black voters lined up behind Obama. That would unfortunately undermine your mendacious “argument”, so of course you don’t mention that. But then again, you ARE a conservative (a word that has lost all meaning), so facts aren’t important to you.
The answer is staring us in the face: Obama is in so many ways the Great Black Hope.
Closing with some blatant racism, pretending that a majority of white voters don’t support Obama. Stay classy Christine, and keep wanking.
