Not a Bailout, But a THEFT
Yglesias gets it. So do his commenters: “It is obvious isn’t it? This is all about stealing as much money as they can before the democrats take over. Blatant and totally expected imo.”
That is exactly what this is all about: convincing the Congress and the Senate to put taxpayer dollars into the hands of those who screwed the system to begin with. Why else would they insist on no oversight, no review, no punitive measures?
This is theft, plain and simple. Congress should tell these fuckers to go pound sand, and to take John McKKKain with them.
