Names
Ordinarily, I don’t care what people name their children, and in some cases I think the weirder the name the better.
That said, if you name your kid something that doesn’t indicate whether its a boy or a girl, it makes for some pretty embarrassing moments.
For example, at work we got a donation of tickets from the Zoo. I’m responsible for sending out acknowledgements, so, seeing the first name “Kendall”, I began my letter with “Dear Mr….”.
As I wrote the letter, I realized I had to make a call to my man Kendall’s office, which is where I found out that Kendall is actually a woman.
This happens all the time when parents choose last names as first names. “Dylan” is both a boy’s name and a girl’s name. “Madison” is another one. “MacKenzie”.
Stop using last names as first names. Life is confusing enough as it is.

Some of the names are really bizarre too. I don’t know how to pronounce some of them, much less spell them. I guess if they all have strange names it will be common place to them, and our names will someday sound like Wilbur and Ethel.
