Reality Bites

We got home from OATS yesterday around 5:30 or so. I really pulled my back on Thursday afternoon when I picked up the boy, and when I say that I mean pulling him from his feet as he was running around the pick up area. Or maybe it was the 13-hour drive, who knows. In any event, since Thursday July 3, through this morning, July 6, I have had no contact at all with the outside world, not even telephone contact since the Benton Rodeo Grounds are nowhere near a cell tower.

When I arrived home, I learned that Jesse Helms had died. Other than that, the world has gone on without me.

It’s nice to forget about everything once in awhile. All I did throughout the entire weekend was relax, drink beer, hang out with my kid, while listening to and picking bluegrass music.

Tomorrow, we will almost certainly say goodbye to our Fourth Amendment rights, so make a point of calling and berating your Senator.

I have a bad case of apathy right now. Sorry I don’t have much more to add.
