Overheard in Fishtown
“Yo NIGGER, I said ‘WHERE THE FUCK YOU AT?”
I was walking down Master Street and glanced up at the two men standing on the corner ahead of me.
“I TOLD you where I was gonna be, so WHERE THE FUCK YOU AT NIGGER? MOTHERFUCKING FAGGOT!” At the top of his lungs, holding his cell phone like a walkie-talkie. I could hear the unintelligible crackle of the other guy’s voice over the speaker
“You think I’m playing around? BITCH! I’m comin’ over there RIGHT NOW NIGGER.” Lovely.
“I ain’t fucking playing around! BITCH!”
Summer in the city, 5 days with no rain, and temperatures in the high 80s and 90s, humidity that feels like a hot wet towel on your head. A shooting in the park yesterday, and certainly many more to come.
Sometimes I’d like to move to Montana, where I can raise me some lonely dental floss.
BTW, did you know that’s Tina Turner doing the background vocals on the original,/a>?
