Thought
It seems that every day, Barack Obama’s campaign sends me a new video or email about what Barack Obama stands for.
For some reason, FISA never comes up. It’s almost as if he wants to change the subject.
That’s a shame, because if he wanted my vote, he’d be sending me emails and videos promising to stop the bill in its entirety.
This is what’s called “losing my vote”. Some of you may recall a post I wrote called Why I Left the Democrat[ic] Party, but the truth is I allowed myself to be convinced to stay so I could put Obama over the top in PA.
On the heels of his telecom sellout, I deeply deeply regret that decision. Unless I see something extraordinary in the Senate this week, I do not anticipate voting for Mr. Obama, or any other Democrats for that matter.
Like Booman says, “Making it impossible for someone to defend you with a straight face is an error of different proportions.”
That’s where I am with my soon-to-be former party. It IS time for change alright: but from what I’m seeing, Mr. Obama does not actually embody that change. Lotsa pretty talk though.
