Who Died and Left Comcast in Charge?

Via Greenwald, Comcast seems to think that they’re above criticism, and above the law.

As many Pennsylvanians know, electing Chris Carney was a BIG mistake. First, he lied to progressives to obtain their money by pretending to champion issues he never had any intention of standing up for. Now he’s trying to get companies like AT&T, Verizon, and yes Comcast, off the hook for helping George Bush illegally tap our phones.

Imagine that: Chris Carney believes that we the American people don’t deserve their day in court after our Fourth Amendment rights have been violated, and Comcast, who’s implicated in the whole scheme, wants to help him.

Full disclosure: Comcast is my Internet provider, but only because Verizon and Cavalier are SO much worse. Be that as it may, it’s time to re-run this ad:

What do they call it when the state and corporate power merges? Oh yes, I remember: Fascism.
