Oh Jesus Christ. Joe vento’s making a stink again
On Monday, Barack Obama went across the street to Pat’s for a cheesesteak.
Same day, Hillary Clinton had a chicken cheesesteak with Italian greens in the Philadelphia suburbs.
To Geno’s owner Joey Vento, such decisions showed such a lack of courage that neither Democrat deserves to be president.
“If they don’t have the guts to come here and talk about the immigration problem … they’re not capable of running our country,” he said.
Joey Vento’s the New jersey carpetbagger and loudmouth who thinks he speaks for everyone in South Philadelphia. he hung a sing on his cheesesteak store reading “This is America. When ordering speak English.”
OK, real slowly now for the waterheads out there. Latinos are the fastest growing demographic in the US. Thanks to the GOPs insane immigration policies, they are flocking to the Democrats. Why on earth would an intelligent Democrat seeking votes, like Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, eat at Vento’s establishment?
“They’re both dummies, as far as I’m concerned,” said Vento.
If Obama had stopped at Geno’s and just politely listened to Vento’s views about illegal immigration, the senator’s poll numbers might have shot up 8 points, Vento said.
Obama needn’t agree. He could just say, ” ‘I think I’ll take this under advisement,’ ” Vento said.
“I’m for everything that he’s against,” Vento said.
OK, maybe I’m ignorant. Could someone explain to me the benefit in listening to someone who thinks you’re “both dummies”, and who loudly expresses views that are anathema to a rather large chunk of your electoral base? Perhaps Obama, in trying to strengthen relations with the Jewish community should meet with Hal Turner or David Duke, you know, just to listen to what they have to say.
And then there’s this:
“I’m the spokesman for the United States of America,” Vento said.
Really? Who elected you? I don’t recall you being on the ballot, Joey. Maybe you should slow down on all the beef, because it sounds like you have a case of Mad Cow Disease.

My favorite thing (and I say that sarcastically) about geno’s is the guy’s unrepentant dickhead attitude. Geno’s competition is the oldest cheesesteak place in philly, Pat’s (who actually invented the sandwich if you can believe the local stories).
So what does Geno’s do? they put up this massive sign painted on their building, facing Pat’s, that says “Geno’s: Known for Cleanliness”.
Assholes. Oh, and if you’re ever visiting, Pat’s is WAY fucking better than geno’s, which smells like tires.

Joey Vento has a good point. I am glad to see someone say what needed to be said! This catering to one other culture is a slap in the face to all others. Thank God everyone knows the DMV traffic language or we’d really be in a mess wouldn’t we? It seems pictures is the world language of this new & modern age. English should be the common language as it has been for other Nations who migrated here. Is it necessary to put everything in bi-linguel because they’re too ignorant to learn so we have to cater too them? Other cultures hold their Nationality sacred, but learned English. What’s the Mexican/Latin/Spanish etc. populations excuse? Ignorance or willful?

speaking as an english major and as someone who writes for a living, JVfan really needs to get a better grasp of standard English punctuation and spelling before attacking immigrants and calling me an idiot.
