Debates
There are a couple of good live-blogs of the Democrat debates at BMT and FDL this morning.
I haven’t watched any of them. Some might say that’s shameful, but A) I don’t have cable, and more importantly B) for as long as I’ve watched political debates, they’ve seemed to be little more than opportunities for the candidates to make big pronouncements that they never live up to. It’s like watching an adult version of “Let’s pretend”.
“Let’s pretend when I’m president, I will pass universal health care!”
“Let’s pretend that when I’m president, I will end the war in Iraq!”
I already have a four year old, and play “Let’s pretend” on a regular basis. Yawwwwn.
