Dear Senator Schumer

I hope one of your kids is arrested on suspicion of terrorism, imprisoned secretly with no access to a lawyer, and waterboarded.

You are scum, Senator Schumer. You are a bad Jew, a bad Democrat, and a bad person. You are a hypocrite who gladly trots out Holocaust victims when it serves your mealy-mouthed political purposes, but when the time comes to stand up for our rights, rights that millions of American fought and died for, you take the side of the fascists and the Nazis. You are a sellout. A pig. A pile of dogshit that should be scooped up and thrown in the trash where it belongs.

On the slim chance that there IS a God, I hope he throws you into the deepest bowels of Hell. I hope you burn Senator Schumer, and I pray that you never sleep another restful night for the rest of your stupid miserable life. And I hope that when death comes for you, that it is drawn-out as long as possible, a tortured screaming death that eats you from the inside out, leaving you without strength or the ability to communicate, but fully cognizant of the pain you’re going through.

What an awful waste of flesh you are Senator Schumer. It’s a pity you weren’t stillborn, because Americans would have been spared your dishonesty and dereliction of your constitutional duties.

You are worthy of nothing but scorn and contempt, and have earned my undying enmity. I will work to see you unseated when you run again, and I will work to ruin your reputation and public image as you have worked so relentlessly to shame our country.

With deepest sincerity,

Brendan Skwire

UPDATED: I got an email from a friend who feels that my language here is over the top and in his words “deeply offensive”.

But I stand by those words. As many have pointed out, Schumer’s vote will not only guarantee more torture, it will also guarantee that none of these criminals pays a price for it.

I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but I am more offended by what Schumer has enabled. In the long run, my words amount to little more than a loud expression of anger and outrage that hurt no one, while Senator Schumer’s actions have ensured misery and torment for people who may well be innocent of any wrongdoing. Furthermore, his votes represent another step in normalizing torture as policy, and all of it done in MY name.

THAT is far more offensive than my wish that he burn in Hell, which is a place that simply doesn’t exist.

I think your offended critic is missing the entire point: you don’t want this shit to happen to anyone at the hands of our country, but Schumer, as proven by his vote, does. Fuck him. Chuck Schumer is a disgrace, and fuck anyone who can’t recognize that.

I think I recall your comment being “disappeared” on FDL when you expressed your opinion for Schumer there. I stand by your style, speak your mind loud and proud. Your blog may be one of the few places left where you can freely express your opinion, but we (the people) are reading it; are free to choose to do so and that’s a beautiful thing. Don’t stop.
