I Cannot Imagine the Callousness that Is John Boehner

just gross, plain pitiful, war September 14th, 2007

I guess I got a few good links out of my John Boehner post, but to be honest it put me in a lousy mood for the rest of the night.

When I think about how much I miss my son, who I’m lucky enough to see every other month and whose absence torments me, I know I’m only nibbling at the edges of what a dead soldier’s parents must feel like.

Imagine if it was your child, who you’d raised from infancy. You’ve been through 25 years of life together, from the natural, but insane, rhythms of a newborn to the rewards of early childhood through the strife of adolescence and the pride in adulthood. And then BOOM.

That person is gone for good, lowered into a hole with a cold grey stone on top of it where you go to remember your child.

And John fucking Boehner says that’s a small price to pay.

What do you say about someone like that? Honestly. What more is there to say?

He’s is probably one of those brainwashed idiots that will tell you “At least he is in a better place now.” to help you feel better. In my opinion, dead is not a better place. Where there is life, there is always hope. Death is where it ends. Boehner is not in touch with reality and should not have permission to speak on behalf of the lives of our children. Period.

To all the world he was a soldier.
To me he was all the world.

Against my wishes my boy joined the Army while we had a decent human being as President. I tried to tell him that we could not be sure of peace and prosperity but even I never thought we would be lead by a psychotic, pin-head as evil as this thing we have now.
