That sucked
Long story about why this site has been down for a while now, mostly having to do with my hosting company getting bought out by inbreds hell bent on driving themselves into insolvency through nearly infinite layers of inanity and ineptitude. Last week they decided to try an unannounced server migration without making proper backups. Naturally, every MySql database on the sever was corrupted in the process, rendering any hosted website which relies on MySql databases, like this one, into a smoldering turd. Did I mention they were over billing me too? That was awesome. I’ve spent the last several days unwillingly reacquainted myself with the ass end of MySql, but it seems to have worked.
The next problem is likely obvious to those of you who might have noticed something peculiar about the theme. It seems Brendan’s old theme doesn’t play well with the aged version of PHP running on the new web host’s server, so we’ll have to start over. Since Brendan is away from his computer for the weekend, I took a quick look through a couple of available themes and decided that the cheesy pre-teen romance novel look seemed most appropriate. I’m sure you’ll agree.

Oh now this is grand. I’ve already captured the screenshot to show him when he returns in case it’s been fixed before then, just so he knows what he’s missed.
Wonderful choice, by the way. I think the only way to top this would be to make a pro George Bush template, with references to Jesus, the GOP, as well as Arlen Specter all over it and upload it.

Why no green IPod girl? Did the wench break your heart yet again? And apparantly they didn’t have a “Draft Larry Craig for President / 08″ theme?
And is the meta stuff Spanish or Italian? Or even Latin. It’s definitely a Romance Language, though.
