Man shot dead in SW Phila.
An unidentified man was shot to death last night at 49th Street and Chester Avenue, Southwest Philadelphia, police said. The victim was shot at 9:46 p.m. and died at the scene shortly after. Police said they had no suspects.

That’s where we pick up the trolley.

    This makes 3 for the rec center. In October 2006, a community member flat out told the advisory council that the environment at the rec center encourages violence and is not safe. That community member was called ignorant and told they did not know anything and had no right to that opinion. I know this because that community member was me. How many murders will it take?

    Just one actually: but it will have to be the loved one of someone on city council or in the mayor’s office. That’s not meant as a threat: it’s just a simple fact that power doesn’t care until power itself is affected.

    And it’s more than three: there were also the two guys who got shot at 53rd and greenway. that’s well within the orbit.

    Do you know what happened Monday night? I am hearing stories of 40 police cars, a police helicopter, reports of abuse of authority, unwarranted arrest, etc. etc. etc. But no facts. There is a meeting tomorrow at the KRC Playground at 6:45 to discuss.
