A Good Question
Over at Firedoglake they’re live-blogging the House Judiciary Committee’s hearings on whether to issue a contempt of Congress citation to Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten for refusing to comply with Congressional subpoenas. A commenter asked the following question:
WHYY in Philadelphia isn’t broadcasting the hearings either: as you can see on their homepage, they front-page what’s currently on. the radio is offering “Day to Day”, the television is offering children’s programming.
Pardon me for my petulance, but isn’t the looming Constitutional conflict between the Congress and the President’s outrageous behavior a bit more important than “Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks”?
I think I will place a call to WHYY and their staff.

I must disagree. There was nothing new at the hearings. Just more of the same.
And, frankly, if I faced the prospect of listening to a couple of hours of Gonzo’s sniveling and whining, I would have gone on the net and found a station that was broadcasting “Day to Day,” where I might learn something new.
