NARAL (as well as many other advocacy businesses I used to support) don't benefit when the stuff they advocate for is safe. They benefit when there is peril. If they won, they would be out of jobs. They get paid to fight and posture, not win. The recent ruling (and the encouragement this will be to the pro-life side) is going to be a great fundraiser tactic. This keeps them relevant, wealthy and in power. I’m going to pop off here.

NARAL (as well as many other advocacy businesses I used to support) don’t benefit when the stuff they advocate for is safe. They benefit when there is peril. If they won, they would be out of jobs. They get paid to fight and posture, not win.

I take exception to this entire fight. Not enough people stood up and said that the gruesome blood fest fantasized about by so many fundamentalist freaks and named by them as 'partial birth abortion' doesn't even exist. And that no woman gets a late term abortion because her pedicure appointment got cancelled and she has time.
