Pat Murphy
I’ve always been a supporter of Patrick Murphy, who won over GOP Rubber Stamp Mike Fitzpatrick in Lower Bucks County in 2006. He came to Drinking Liberally a lot, and got a lot of helps from the netroots and from progressives in Southeastern PA. Murphy’s in his mid-30s, a lawyer and West Point professor, and an Iraq vet. He grew up in a military family, and his father was a cop. He’s a really nice guy from working class roots.
Since he’s been in Congress he’s been great, and he hasn’t lost contact with the netroots. Check out this comments session he did today at firedoglake, hosted by Howie Klein. Good good stuff!

BTW - I’m sorry if I’m a little slow writing, I’m actually juggling my daughter Maggie right now. Jenni (my wife) is out running errands after we did the handoff at the start of this. Maggie is not loving the formula (Emfamil with Iron) right now so I have to alternate that with the pacifier.
