Bruce Tinsley Really Isn’t Very Bright

Bruce Tinsley’s unfunny conservative duck, Mallard Fillmore, has been skewering Dennis Hopper for the past two days.

Poor Tinsley. He just isn’t very bright. Hopper, of course, is a long-time Republican, noted for his support of George W. Bushand has “been a Republican since Reagan”.

Maybe if Tinsley didn’t spend so much time hating on teachers, he might not be so stupid.

    Hi Brendan -

Loved your post at FDL and wanted to visit your blog. I will be bookmarking (and blogrolling) you for sure.

Tinsley is embarrassingly unfunny. It hurts to read him, yet it’s a perfect example of the dearth of humor on the right. There was is one conservative cartoonist who is just great - Michael Ramirez. Though I vehemently disagree with every idea he has, I must give him his props as a political cartoonist of the first order. In fact, he was part of the reason I gave up my subscription to the LA Times - because they fired him and Robert Scheer to save a little money. Other than him, I can’t think of a ‘funny conservative’. Contradiction in terms, I guess.

But Tinsley? You must be kidding me. Who did he have to blow to get syndicated?
