Oh, This is Just Schweet
I was thinking about this just last week. I don`t have a lot of African-American friends, and I think part of it is because I`m afraid that I would be in an open conversation, and I would say something that somebody would take wrong, and then it would be a nightmare. Am I alone in feeling that?
No, you’re not alone Mr. Beck. There are plenty of other racists who are afraid of “open conversation” with black people.
How “someone would take wrong” your comment to Minnesota Democrat and devout Muslim Keith Ellison, “”Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies”, is beyond me. And why anyone would be confused over statements about Barack Obama such as “When he says — yes. When he said, you don’t notice his color, as a white guy — and I don’t know if African-Americans feel the same way — but for whites, I think he’s colorless. You don’t notice that he is black. So he might as well be white, you know what I mean?” Who in their right mind would doubt that these are sincere expression of Beck’s xenophobia and internalized racism?
By all means Glenn, continue to play your [race] cards face up on the table.
H/T to Chris Achorn for providing quite the clearinghouse of Beckorabilia.
