Dear Brendan,
Thanks for your phone call and email. I’ve been swamped at work and this is my first chance to respond.
I realize that most people don’t listen to all of our shows but we have had a number of the liberal guests you suggested and many others on the show.
In the nearly 20 years that Radio Times has been on the air, Peter Beinart has been a guest 2 times, David Sirota 3 times. Writers for The Nation, The American Prospect and other liberal publications are regular guests on the program along with representatives from The Center for American Progress and other progressive organizations. Sometimes we frame the interview as a debate and sometimes, as we did this past Monday, it’s more of a discussion.
We don’t expect our listeners to agree with all of out guests but we do strive over time to represent a number of different perspectives on a range of issues.
