is Mike Fitzpatrick a crook?

Bucks County Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick has raised more than $200,000 in campaign contributions from political action committees linked to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his Native American tribal clients, according to a Courier Times analysis of his campaign finances.

In a statement Friday, Fitzpatrick said he has already donated to charity the $21,500 he received from political action committees headed by embattled U.S. Reps. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, and Tom DeLay, R-Texas, and former Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham, R-Calif. All three have ties to Abramoff.

However, Fitzpatrick’s chief of staff said the congressman has no plans to return nearly $190,000 in additional contributions he received from political action committees with ties to the Abramoff scandal.

“I’ve never met Jack Abramoff at all,” Fitzpatrick said in the statement.

Oh no, he never met Jack Abramoff at all, he just took money from Abramoff’s committees, so that makes it OK.

This is like the guy who cheats on his wife, and says “I never had any sexual contact with that woman”, technically true because he was wearing a condom.

What’s even funnier is FitzPatrick’s appeal to experience, as if he has SO much more experience in Congress than his opponent, Pat Murphy. Yeah, a whole year’s experience. Way to go Mikey-boy!

Vote Democratic. Vote for someone honest. Vote for Pat Murphy.
