Verbal Assault
I grew up on this music, and in fact went to high school with these guys. Good retrospective, and a great essay, “More Than Music” by Chris Jones.
I’ll write more about this later.
But in reference to my first hardcore show, here’s the flyer:
Good times. If you manage to get your paws on the video of 7-Seconds’ tour from 1985, you see a very small, crewcutted Brendan in one of those yellow Circle Jerks shirts diving off a stage. Also good times.
