Lodi Pirates
I’ll leave the Pickin in the Pasture review to MaryE Yeomans, which I’m sure you’ll enjoy and take this opportunity to post some pictures.
Back at the Grillbillies’ camp, the theme for the festival was “Let’s All be Pirates”. Dobro player Adam Schmidt had decorated the campsite with plastic “jolly roger” flags, and had dressed up a cardboard cutout of a model in pirate clothes. Unfortunately, the cut out didn’t have arms to fill the sleeves and ended up lookign like a double amputee. He also brought costumes galore, and by late Saturday night we were all dressed for a boarding party, and commandeered the tractor and hay cart that was shuttling campers from the stage to their tents. Here are some shots. In order to fully enjoy them, please drink some rum from the bottle, and holler “Arrrrrr!”
I’m not sure who had a better costume, Adam or Chris.
