Open Letter to the DSCC
Not a good thing on its own but when I was on the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) web site yesterday to refresh my memory on who is leading the Democratic effort to take back the Senate, I found that one of the DSCC Vice-Chairmen is none other than… Senator Mark Pryor.
Dear DSCC:
The mission of the DSCC, from your own website, is “to elect more Democrats to the United States Senate.”
So why is Mark Pryor supporting Joe Lieberman, who not only lost the CT primary fair and square, but now threatens to throw the election to the GOP by running as their de facto candidate (you will note that Rove called him to offer help; that Bush refused to endorse the GOP candidate, and that Joe is using Cheney’s talking points).
Pryor has to get a grip and a clue. I am on your mailing list, and receive regular missives begging for donations. I’m not giving you one cent until Pryor gets his act together and supports the winner of the Connecticut Democratic Primary, Ned Lamont. If he doens’t want to do that, if he does not want to support the Democratic nominee, then Pryor should step down from his position at the DSCC.
It’s gotta be one or the other folks, and until then not only will I refuse to give you money, I will make sure my friends and family refuse to give you money. I have cc-ed this letter to several prominent bloggers, and will also be posting it at my own site, which reaches, on average, about 270 people a day.
I await your prompt response.
