No Goddamn Class
One of the things that annoys me the most about the Republican Party is its deliberate racial sops to the poor to distract from the inner party’s delight in elitism. More nauseating is this disgusting classism is nothing but a farce: when it comes down to it, Republicans have no shame, not tact, and no taste.
Talent criticized the McCaskill campaign over an FEC report that the FEC didn’t receive by the deadline. The McCaskill campaign immediately produced a postal receipt that Melissa Berridge, McCaskill’s compliance director, had in her desk showing that she mailed the report on time.
Berridge was killed in a plane crash over the weekend.
Despite the demonstration by McCaskill’s camp that the report had been sent on time, Talent and his minions continued to press their attack.
Schweeeet. Attacking dead people, getting called on it, and refusing to apologize.
Oh and pissing off her brother: good move, Talent[less] you fucking ASSHOLE.
This is what is so hilarious about today;’s Republican party. They think that “class” means “conspicuous display of wealth”, like Ted Knight as Judge Smalls in Caddyshack. I believe the majority of the current crop of Republicans has no conception of how tasteless, petty, vindictive, parochial, puritanical, venal, and selfish the rest of the country perceives them to be.
America has historically and mythologically been a country that lets you think, read, and speak as you will. We are a nation born of the middle finger: I will worship how I want; I won’t pay taxes unless I’m represented. Our Constitution makes explicit our national disdain for authoritarianism, the “boot stamping on a human face – forever”. I hope and I pray that our national contrariness will send these meddling, incompetent busy bodies, these Harriet Olsens of geopolitics, back to the ratholes where they belong…
